And regarding french threading...
French threaded parts do get the reputation of being 'hard to come by' but they are definitely not.
Velo Orange produces brand new french threaded headsets (25x1) and bottom brackets (35x1).Other options include BB rethreading to BSA (about £20 from Fitzrovia Bikes) or using a treadless bottom bracket (about £15 for a YST sealed one).
You could also go for threadless 1" forks with a 1" threadless headset. Both headset and BB fitted to the frame are in good working order - how often do you actually change them anyway ;-)
Good luck with the hunt, there is a wide choice on LFGSS

French threaded free-wheels most certainly are hard to come by.

I have a couple of spare Maillard Course ones along with Campagnolo Record french threaded hubs (28h high flange and 36h low flange).
Let me know if you need anything ;-)

Actually, thank you, I will bear that in mind, because I have a bike with a French-threaded Maillard free-wheel. However, it doesn't need replacing just yet.
Cheers.

The sale will also include a San Marco SuperCorsa which needs re-covering.
So £62 gets you frameset/headset/bottom bracket/seatpost/saddle

Thanks for the interest!
Hi all,
I have a mystery frame for sale -> Clover cut out on the bottom bracket and Frame/Forks Numbered 462.
I has been badly spray painted at some point and some surface rust is showing here and there so this is sold as a restoration project. I do not have the peg tool to remove the bottom bracket without damaging it so for the purpose of this sale, let's consider it stuck.
The frameset is made of Columbus steel - it still has the Columbus triangle sticker on the frame and the forks steerer is stamped.
Size wise, 59cm centre to centre for both top tube and seat tube. No mudguard eye and what looks like tight race geometry / low rake forks. The frame stickers say "Cycles Dubau" which was a shop located in Reims, Marne, France where the bike was serviced.
In terms of provenance, I obtained it from the same chap who sold me two other Bernard Carré bikes. (One sold to @ignas and one sold to @jdmitch )
It certainly has the typical B.C. "swept" seatpost cluster.
The forks steerer have "75" written on, so perhaps it is a 1975 which would be in line with B.C.' era.
Both BB and forks are french threaded so it is once again in line with B.C.
It is just the bottom bracket clover cut out that I can't explain. Might be a Cornelo or Colnero... You never know!
Price wise, it is quite hard to put a price on it without exactly knowing what it is. The frame number being 462, I really have to sell it for £62.
Pick up from Stoke Newington (N16) and beware, I will try to sell you champagne when you come to see it...
Vince
