Happy Friday all,
Just removed a set of 3t Prima bars from my road bike to put on a set of the much more attractive Soma HWY ONE bars. After getting them setup the first thing I noticed was how insanely flexy these bars are. Just by putting my upper body weight on them from a standing position I was able to flex them down a couple millimeters. I have never noticed this amount of flex in any of my other bars (Cinelli Giro, Cinelli Criterium, 3t Prima) which are also all 26.0mm clamp size I should add.
Anyone running the Somas care to chime in on this?
Cheers,
AT
P.S. could it be that my brifters are not on solid and thus the source of movement? I'm kind of new to road bikes and I'm definitely paranoid I don't have the brifters (Campag Record 9) on the sweetspot of the bend.
