No, the Only Watch one-off didn't have a snowflake handset, and it had red text on the dial. This is (apparently) a production version that will be launched next week.

I have a watch taht's been sitting around for years. It was my Grandad's. I got it over 20 years ago. I'd like to have it properly looked at, it's nowt special but I wouldn't mind having it working again.

Preferably local. Preferably reasonable.

Anyone know if Alsal's also deal with cheaper watches, in particular a quartz Accurist. It was an 18th birthday present many years ago so would be nice to get it running again.

Try them. Sometimes with quartz movements you can just substitute the entire movement. They don't cost much.

Yes, I've emailed them and they siad bring it in for a look. Just need to find time to get down there during their limited opening hours now.
