Have you inspected the Velcro strap that runs along the top flap? Looks suspicious to me...

Pat doesn't really make them any more, you can get in touch with her on facebook and sometime she does a limited runs and sells via ebay, but that was a couple of years ago.
I'm a massive fan of these bags and had one nicked in India a few years ago of this vintage and I've always been looking to replace it.

As I remember, ultimate denoted the size, but at one stage I think there was an ultimate xl too.
I think they are 40 plus liters in size, there are big bags. The 2nd photo's very much suggest the strap sits on the left shoulder, I can never remember if that makes it L or R throw.
I have one of there last runs of bags from about 3/4 ish years ago and there straps could be switched round.
having a clear out so have a used Pac ultimate for sale, not quite as bright red as the pics make it look, structurally v.good condition but does have grease stains on the lid and inside from use, not sure of its pedigree, i bought it from a guy when i was in NYC years back, to this day haven't found the secret stash pocket on it, you may..?
these are fucking bulletproof bags will last someone for years, i moved to carrying on a rack as my back's fucked.... so surplus to my requirements...
NOW SOLD
in Manchester, happy to post at cost...
