are those long enough to get a decent range of gears?
If you own a half link and don't mind splitting the chain to get the wheel out in some combinations, you can run any gear you like with as little as ⅜" of available axle movement. Not sure if the P2SL allows even that small amount of movement without the track nuts overhanging the back of the ends, hence my comment about semi-magic gears; you may have to change the chainring and sprocket at the same time to change gear, e.g. 52/15 and 53/14 are the same 'length'. Whereas on a proper track frame you'd have no trouble going from 52/15 to 52/14 or vice versa, on a frame with very short ends, even that ⅛" change in length could drop you out of the back of the ends or crash the axle into the front.
Yup, are those long enough to get a decent range of gears? There are some properly ugly fixed builds out there...
Indeed, PC is my default option, but the geo is a poor fit with my current position and so I'll either need to adapt my position to the bike or have some seriously questionable component choices to get it to fit.
That's what I'd have thought... It's this one for sale on here for £350. Would it be unreasonable if I offer whatever a new PC goes for and see what he says.
