  • So... I've just seen one of the old style Alu P2 frame sets for sale...

However it's a 54, rather than my current 56 P2c. This means that I would loose 19mm of stack and 11mm of reach compared to my current frame. All the other angles (78º seatpost etc.) would remain the same.

I'm currently running one of TSTR's low stack headsets with my stem slammed, however I'd also like to go a little bit lower so using 10-15mm of spacers shouldn't be a problem. My current stem is relatively short at 80mm, so switching to a 90mm stem doesn't sound unreasonable either? Is there any reason why this is going to fit horribly?

Also roughly what would you expect to pay? The classic style carbon frames seem to go for £500-600ish but I'm not sure about the older aluminium ones. It's currently priced a bit above my budget.

Is this my fixed TT build?

  • Coupla hundred, I'd have thought. They're still decent bikes, @specialist has been setting course records around London West on his this season, beating his own times on a Giant Trinity.

Do the Alu P2s definitely have track ends?
