• Yes, but it does not look like that any more !

It was built by Martin Evans ( Martrac) in the early 80's to my sizes with the new Reynolds 753 road tubing for the main triangle with Columbus PL stays and fork blades with Cinelli double plate crown, lugs and cast BB with campag ends. The frame was silver soldered rather than brazed. before it was painted and it had been blasted it looked spectacular .
Its has a very high bracket to ride slow on Leicester and Meadowbank tracks and a longer top tube for my long back and stubby legs !

It rides so well on a steep track that its been used as a test bike for cross over athletes trying out Meadowbank. New masters world champion Louise Haston started out on it and still thinks its one of the best bikes she has ridden !

Marti took it back when the paint had flaked off ( common for martacs ) and re painted it . At that time he was making wheel clamps for the council in Newcastle and it was powder coated bright yellow.
i am thinking of getting the powder coat remoed , having it sandblasted polished and just clear lacquer put on it and rebuilding it with the original DA 10 pitch group set ......
