2007 is all about looks, not comfort. Kashimax pls....
-
• #105
I was there when you were building it in the shop - still can't over the BB on that thing haha
-
• #106

Get a TT protector
(The kashimax kind) -
• #108
Not going to use that in the rain that's for sure, strictly a summer bike, or else UN55 all the thing.
-
• #109
Get a TT protector
(The kashimax kind)There's a reason why I didn't is because the grip prevent the top tube from getting dented.

Hence the italics.
Were they cheap before the apocolypse?
-
• #111
They were £20 from Condor, so not really.

Very nice Ed. Still enjoying it? NJS with drops and hoods really is awesomely comfortable.
-
• #114
So I coulda haz those wavey bars then?
Looks decent aside from the godawful saddle.
Could you not at least put a brooks on it? Would be slightly less offensive...
-
• #115
Skinny tyres would be nice for some Summer speed...
-
• #116
Only if I want to go slow.
-
• #117
Your progress in saddle position looks similar to my experience.
>>>>>>> SMP thread... -
• #118
Steep seat angle mean saddle finally look right on the middle of the clamp.
-
• #119
Looks a perfect setup and purely on aesthetics it nice to see the composit (over the hell) on there. Are those record levers? If so, Ooi, how have you fixed the dummy lever?
-
• #120
Just the old Tektro one before they discontinued it (now branded as Cane Creek), shape are near identical.
-
• #121
I suppose you could use a short bit of brake cable - pull it through the hole so it comes out into the cable groove on the plastic body, put a small cable tie on it and the snip the cable, snip the end of the cable tie, tape over and hey presto no floppy lever?
I haven't tried this but just thought of it... -
• #122
No, you're floppy.
In other news, order a cheap coaster rear wheel for it.
Time to put flat bar on and bring it back for shit and giggle.

• #123
Photos by a brick wall please, for measurement purposes.

Prediction: as per Ed's cycling development in general, this will have bottle bosses, mudguards and a derailleur hanger by the end of the year

Back to 23mm gumwall.
