It's a true 36 in the way a 36 inch jean will measure about 38.25 inches across the waist. They were formerly true sizings.

Asked missus to buy both 28 and 30 in store; will try this evening and return one. They are not even keeping it behind counter as its hot cakes.

Fuck online stores that don't accept returns in-store. Are 'stock management issues' really so much more annoying than me wasting a lunch hour schlepping across London and having to ride the godforsaken Bakerloo Line.
