to get one with the basket you pay £100 more to also get shimano v brakes (instead of own brand) a brooks (thief magnet) saddle and a suspension seat post. all of which apart from the basket are not required
the crucial things are it is small and light, so it can be easily hung on a bike hook in the garage
it will only be ridden to the station, infrequently
currently we have a dutch bike but its a clunker, weighs a ton so it is consigned to cluttering our garden as it weighs too much to go up in the garage and there is not room for it go on the floor.
Sillgey or Linus available out there?
Sillgey is small-wheeled, Linus is 700c.
I couldn't find a weight for those Orbeas, and they specifically don't list it; much of the time small wheeled bikes weigh the same as larger ones, so the only benefit may be size.
want to find a new station bike for my partner
ideally, step through, with mudguards and a rack or basket, chain guard, dynamo lights.
will have to strip it of QR's and ball bearing the allen key bolts.
this nearly fits the bill but does not have the basket
