    Good to see the rad(norshire) tractor back in bike tag action. Some friends of ours who 'bought at the right time' recently sold their flat in the De Havilland building for a LOT of money. It was very impressive inside and they used to rent it out for photoshoots and so on.

    Although the conversion to flats was done sensitively to the original fabric of the building (which has a very thin outer concrete shell) their view was that those flats aren't a good long-term prospect due to the aforementioned very thin concrete shell.

    There's no actual proof it was ever used for aircraft construction, although a quick Google would suggest otherwise. It was possibly a 'shadow' De Havilland factory during WWII but nobody seems to have any evidence of that.
