Serious note - why is it ineffective?
Completely impractical. Lern 2 spun.
Starting and stopping take a lots more effort, only useful if you have a very long flat rural commute with minimal traffic lights and wind.
Actually let put it this way, if you have to stand up every time you start off, the gearing is way too high.
