Anyone know of anyone close to Josh Sutterby's style now he's moved to Australia? London ideally it would travel

Quite like the look of Mrprestontattoo in Liverpool

Check Modern Classic Tattoo and some of the guys at Frith street tattoo, they seem to do traditional stuff well.

Sex toy?

Nope, answers on postcard pls.
First correct guess wins nothing... -

some sort of climbing gear no?

Give that man a goldfish.
It's a cam, more specifically it's a Metolius Ultralight. Stops you falling off cliffs and dying horribly.
Undecided whether to leave out the loop sling at the bottom of the image. It doesn't affect the use of the cam in the real world and looks a bit shabby compared to the rest of the piece. -
• #10335
I'd say leave it out. Will make the piece nicely contained and a bit tidier i say
-

I agree, playing around with a printout same size as the copy the artist is currently drawing up right now. With the sling in it means the head of cam will be hidden near my armpit unless I want the sling down onto elbow. Without seems to be a much better fit.
Will be done by Dariusz Jujka. He's my neighbour and pretty rad, normally does hyper-realism work and the like. Currently working at New Wave. He's stoked to do it and reckons it'll look super crisp. He's done other blueprint type pieces that look amazing. -

Can you position it so the cam moves when you flex?
-
• #10338
I thought about that but not really given the orientation in the pic.
If I was properly covered in tats I'd have the head of a size 5 Tech Friend cam across the back of my hand as they're exactly the same size.
Second choice was a CCH Alien as the design is fantastic but they don't come in large sizes and wouldn't want it bigger than life size.

It's so weird for me to hear people call 'friends' 'cams'.
-
• #10340
Perhaps I'm a bit younger than you? Don't think 'friend' is as common now there's a lot more brands.
Would only refer to Wild Country ones as friends. As I only have #3-#5 friends but a whole rack of DMM, Metolius and Aliens 'cam' seems more appropriate. The newer Helium Friends are ugly, would happily get some nos Tech/Flex Friends in smaller sizes if they came up..

A nice change from an onion.

Something like this?

Do not armpit. Believe me. Went there, did that, will not do again.

Throwing myself on the collective opinion of the tattoo thread. I've had an image from a record tattooed on my inner upper arm. Kinda blown out newspaper print dots, not dot work. Thought it would work as a standalone image, but either I was wrong or the tattooist couldn't or just didn't do it justice. Not feeling it at all. It's maybe my fault as I think now it wasn't really something that would come across as a standalone image. What are my options? Speak to the artist and see if he can suggest ways to improve? Go elsewhere for a second opinion? Or perhaps even look for someone to do a cover up? I'm not ready to show it at present, suffice to say I'm a bit gutted
Cheers

It's this image by the way. Oh also he's flipped the image which I didn't realise. Part of the issue is that with tbe white background of this image, your brain fills in the missing bits, like his helmet where it drops off. My tat, that looks like the guy had a deformed head!https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=the+orb+loving+you&client=ms-android-sonymobile&prmd=vsin&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0CAkQ_AUoA2oVChMIuKbpssytyAIVA1YaCh2DgQWm&biw=360&bih=511#imgrc=ooYzwYPUGHUL5M%3A
-
• #10347
Does the head just look deformed because it is on a curved surface? Is it just solid black like the original image? You could maybe get the image completed so its just black and grey with one half in shadow?
-
• #10348
Yeah I was thinking if maybe there were some dot work graded into towards the solid black, it would work better. I'd maybe need to amateurishly sketch it out
-
• #10349
Oh man. Did you just go to a random artist?
If I were you I'd go to a known tattooer (we're surrounded by amazing ones in London!) and go from there. No more advice from non-tattooers! Either get it fixed somehow or just smash it with a great coverup.

We need a pic of the actual tattoo
Thanks guys. I'm very chuffed with it but it's sore as hell today. Thankfully got a day off work today.
