Increasing FTP and losing weight is always going to be tough.
Without the right carb/protein consumption after a had session. The body won't recover for the next.
Plus FTP increasing cycle training is going to be far trickier to fuel, than just distance cycling. So you end up eating more sports-crap.
I am successfully balancing my weight lose and FTP increase perfectly. Both have stagnated completely despite 4 figure weekly TSS scores. Im just very fit, tired, and hungry.
Getting a diagnosis is progress- so in a way good news, but I am of course sorry to hear that you are still crook. Maybe some middle class white males could solve your problem, possibly they might also have an MBA?
In other news, I have decided to abandon my 75kg target and revel in being heavy- new target is "keep it below 85kg", whilst seeing what power I can make.
If it's tough sticking to the weight you need for your power to weight target- well, there's another way to skin that cat, or that is my theory at least. Where's my protein shake?
