@ChrisMGS modern carbon is pretty damn tough. Tbh I wouldn't worry about any crash that wouldn't put a dent in a steel frame.
I'm not entirely sure where the carbon-is-feeble common knowledge came from. You still see plenty of early carbon frames in daily usage. It's probably due to the failure profile rather than the actual impact resistance.
