How about a smaller difference in teeth at the front coupled with a different cog/freewheel at the rear?

Chain change is no bother to be honest, just want something quick and easy to change

Hmm fair enough, but even if you use a Powerlink/lock you should replace them fairly often, they can get weaker or damaged during removal. But then maybe that's just Sram covering their ass.

any compact 110bcd chainset would do but you would be better off changing the rear sprocket instead. or even have a spare wheels so you don't have to change to the cross tyres each time
Hi all, just brought a Cinelli Mash work frame set, I want to use it both fixed and as a Single speed cross bike so want a chain set that will take both a 44 or 48T chain ring plus being able to fit a 34T for cross. Is this possible? I'm sure on my old crosscheck I was able to do this,can't seem to find anything suitable, any ideas? Don't really want to change the chain set each time
