My dad's LBS wants to put a rack to carry panniers on his carbon bike with p-clips.
I'm surprised that a bike shop would consider doing that, since they will be held responsible when it explodes and kills him. The safer option would be to use the brake centre bolt and axle as the mounting points, since you know you can feed loads into the frame at those points. Anywhere else and you're just guessing at whether the carbon lay up will tolerate the loads.
That's kinda what I was thinking. Thanks. I dont know if his LBS has something suitable but I think I've talked him into just using a saddle bag (although I wish he'd use an allow seat post with the saddle bag, it's a clamp one)
