They'll be a pretty basic rubber compound, but you can get some wire-bead Mountain Kings pretty cheap.

It's also worth looking for used tyres on eBay....sometimes people don't get on well with em and sell them on for peanuts...

I really fancy this having never tried anything even slightly off road, unless you count small bits of pavement however I'll need to get a bike built for it.
I have an old 80's 531 MTB that I've wanted to build for ages so if I can do it in time I'm in!
Anybody got some cheap 26" knobblies for sale or recommend some?
