I am relaying 2ndhand text conversation
It sounds like he sent the green slip to the dvla instead of giving it to us.

Sounds like they didn't give him the green slip.

If you like a lot of tension, keo2max. If less, classics, or easys if you are new to clipless
And don't, under any circumstances, buy the Keo Flex

She followed your advice and it's done now. -

Protect and serve mate, protect and serve.

Wut? Helping out a member of the public is hardly effective policing. Please restore our view of the police by tazing him, pepper spraying him, beating him with a truncheon and then concocting a cover up story with your policemates.

Do you know who I am......

Last week I started studying French, only at a beginner level but I have to start somewhere.
Any suggestions on websites that will help me along the way? I already use Busuu and Duolingo.

Why? I've got Keos, but even I know SPD-R is basically better.
I've started riding with a bunch of guys who, with one exception, are all on Keos. That was the only reason.
Thanks for the advice

If you really think you're going to be hopping on and off other people's bikes, feel free to get Keos. They work fine, but they are expensive and wear out quickly compared with SPD-R

Has anyone tried the cheap gels from Aldi?
-
• #71243
Yeah. I looked like the fonz and they smell great. Would thoroughly recommend.

Someone has D-Locked their fairly expensive bike to mine, overnight.
Will the police cut my bike free if I ask them?

Battery powered angle grinder, ebay, job done.

I've got pretty much all the variants across my bikes. Keo 2 max gets my vote, especially at the current price point. The metal base plate means they last much longer than the cheaper classics and easys etc.
Don't bother with the newer carbon blade versions. They are a pain to flip due to the lack of weighting on the rear.
And get cleat covers for walking purposes otherwise the cleats will die in no time.

Front wheel flexing a lot on climbing or riding out the saddle with force.
Tightening spokes a decent solution? More spokes a permanent solution?
-
• #71248
Tightening the spokes won't make the wheel stiffer (unless some are slack). More spokes / stiffer rim / wider spaced hub flanges are solutions

Changing chainring on newer SRAM seems to be a huge pain in the arse thanks to the chain ring bolt hidden behind the crank arm (pictured 2 O'clock):
Anyone swapped rings on new SRAM got any advice for me? Do I need special chain ring bolts?

IF Ti Deluxe 26" with a nice fat ding in seatstay and a few scratches. incl king headset.
Seller having a hardtime pricing it. How much should I bid?
Is a complete Cotic solaris with nice kit too much?
You've insured it?
You got the green slip from the registration document, yes?
You go to the Post Office, fill out a form for a new registration document and tax it there and then. I think a new reg doc is £25.
Check in the P.O. but I think I'm right.
edit I now see green slip went too. That shouldn't matter. I think the new reg doc form takes this into account.
