Another category of crash into a building we haven't had yet (I think) is the ram raid. I just saw this over in the Roydon ride thread (thanks to Yukirin):

Amazingly, the absence of a digger in the photos suggests that the gang also made their escape in said digger.

Two fire crews from the London Fire Brigade were called to help free the car, which was parked in the road when it was hit.
Nice to see that the language is consistent, even though this time the poor motor vehicle is the victim.

Interview with the owner of the restaurant it crashed into:
A terribly tragic story lurking behind this.

Having lived in Herne Hill and used the 322 on a regular basis I can confirm that it seems only nutters are allowed to drive that bus. Many times I have gone down Railton Road on it absolutely terrified for myself and everything around it.

Another ram raid, seemingly linked to the Roydon one--this time close by in Harlow:

A lucky escape for a pedestrian in what could probably have been a very serious collision:

Haha. Explain your logic

@OliverSchick 'lucky escape' seems like potential victim blaming!

There was a white BMW crashed into one of the guard rails near Westbourne Terrace this morning. I imagine it looked pretty similar to that gif above. Do new BMWs have some kind of fence removal system that we should know about?

Hope that bike was just chained to the fence. Hope the owner gets to claim for a new one too.

Not gonna link to news or pics as it looks quite nasty, double decker bus has hit the Sainsburys in central Coventry today.
Thoughts with those affected, passengers or peds. :(

Simply awful. There was another crash in the same street in 2012, although on that occasion nobody was killed or seriously injured, and the story attracted attention mainly because some people apparently 'looted' the pawnbroker's after the crash.

The outcome of the trial concerning the New Malden crash (see earlier link posted by greenhell above). Distressing to hear that the driver crashed into the building because she had deliberately aimed her vehicle at a person (who fortunately doesn't seem to have been hurt badly, even though he was hit).

Some more discussion over on the Roadsafe thread. Thanks to spindrift for the link.

RIP Rowan, one of the Coventry victims.
Passengers who are bleeding, I mean.
