You'd think the logic was sound wouldn't you.
It's a new rim and build, new saddle (rails twisted) and the fork needs re-aligning (TLCW seems happy to do it, it's only a few mm apparently). They're total was reasonable and certainly less than the cost of an excess and blown NCD.
The biggest issue is that I can't seem to get him on his phone number (I have previously) so there's no dialogue whatsoever.
Maybe, maybe not. Who knows!
I unfortunately don't have the name of the guys insurer, but do have his number plate. Any suggestions on how to work with only that?
