In. Riding out - will meet you there. @Rod_Munch saw your ride at the weekend - how was the route? Last time I just did the A113 from Debden pretty much all the way there (apart from a rather special off-road diversion ridewithgps selected for me) which was fine if a bit A-roady.

Good work chaps.
Yeah that route out is actually pretty good providing you have a bit of time on your side (it adds a couple of miles over the most direct/hellish routes I think). Certainly, for where you are based, it's worth a shot..

you forgot the family of wild deer, one of them potentially bounding across the road!
.. a part of me would like to be there for it tomorrow night, despite the proper nighttime, but perhaps with some Supermoon sunshine still reflecting, bon velo!

recommend turning East off the A113 after passing the M25, near Blackmore there are signs for Mountnessing / Ingatestone,
you just need a compass which glows in the dark!

38m in max 3h15m looks a bit fast for me ...

Agreed.
Too fast for me too.

I'll see depending on the state of my work. Should be sleeping anyway but it seems like the weather is saying otherwise :)

So, if I can come let's meet somewhere (what's a good meeting point in Liverpool station?) and otherwise have a nice ride :)

Nice one @Rod_Munch - ride out didn't go as planned but wow such lovely empty roads.
Everyone in Essex owns a mansion.

Thanks for arranging @Rod_Munch. Such empty roads and red moon rising was a nice touch. Routes probably don’t get much quieter. And all three ride features were seen: live badger, family of deer, dead squirrel. I am becoming more beer-indebted with each ride!

Thanks for coming out chaps - that was indeed a lovely evening.
And @howradmichello , you were dead right - we were nearly killed by two rampaging deer after we disturbed them stealing conkers from someone's back garden.
At the risk of flogging a dead horse... (but you'll be begging for dry evenings like this in a months time so pull your fingers out!)
38 miles featuring live badgers and dead squirrels...
