    Not quite - a 72in gear is equivalent to riding an Ordinary with a 72in diameter wheel, so one revolution would be 72*pi=226in.

    That doesn't flow as nicely though ... really liked it anyway.

  • You live and learn! You are dead right - the crank rotation was measured on the day and came within the allowance, which turns out to be 18ft 10 inch & a quarter. On the day I was too shit scared to notice!
