I can tell you that the Velo Orange have the same setback as the Nitto due to it's smaller clamp area, the Nitto is so large, that it doesn't actually provide that much of a setback.

If you ride with Brooks saddle, I would recommend going for the Selle Anatomica saddle, it's basically exactly what a B17 should evolved into.
The Selle Anatomica's rail is massive allowing you to set it further back more than most modern saddle nowadays.

I was hoping to try a giles berthoud one, but its rails are very short.
Thanks for the info on the nitto post Ed, was wondering how I was going to afford that as well

Not worth it, best spend that money on the Selle Anatomica instead, you can see the difference in rail length in this photo;

Struggling with this as well and need to do it on a budget. I have a condor carbon seatpost with 30mm of setback and need a bit more as I'd love to keep my Brooks.
The velo orange grand cru seatpost only have 30.2mm of set back.
How much is on the nitto sp 72?
Isn't there another nitto sp spmething or other with a big setback?I managed to find this at a Herne Hill jumble years ago. Best find ever. Someone said it's Nitto but it's not stamped.

The Avalon orange actually have more because the clamp is a lots narrower than the condor.

Not following that at all. What is an avalon orange and how can the clamp be more narrow?

The distance from the edge of each side is shorter than most of the seatpost, technically it's 30mm setback but you can shove the saddle as far back as you would on the 40mm setback post (like the steel Nitto).

Is €50 too much to spend? If not, there's a post higher up this pages that allow 50mm setback.

Suntour SR-MTE100 gives some serious setback. Don't know what weight it'd support safely though.
I run my saddle about 9cm behind the BB. It does mean that I can run anything leather in brooks or GB and I have tried the VO Grand Cru, its about a cm too short.
I am not about to change my bike and its ST is 72.5 so not too steep.
Other than Nitto is there anything else available that has a 4cm setback. I did look it at the canyon vcls post but its as expensive as the nitto and only runs to around 3.5cm
