As the father of a 17 month old, I can't help but noticing the crossover between current trends in cycling socks and toddler socks.
My son has these; I wish I could fit into them.

the number of sock specific hashtags I'm subjected to on instagram is staggering...
tbh jazzy socks are for 'crazy steve' from accounts, keep it solid single colours

G!ro in Esher have a good selection. I hear you're local enough these days.

I'm a big fan of defeet hi viz ones, mostly because it makes it easier to find them in my sock pile. Still got comments from other club members about them, "Had they run out of black socks?" Etc. Not sure how I feel about the Maglianera type ones, I think I agree with you: block colours are where it's at. General rule of fashion that, isn't it?

Think Giro have socks by The Athletic, which I wish I'd known about before I spent untold monies ordering direct from the USA.
Saw some Ornot socks the other day which really floated my boat too. -

I quite like my 'all black (gabba as well) apart from the fluoro socks' vibe. Dreading my club jersey arriving, because I'm going to have to think about clashes again. Thank fuck for winter coming, will give me a few months to stock up on socks that match the jersey but aren't black.
Semi-joking.

Et voila: Sportpursuit have Maglianera socks, 3 for £25!
I'll probably get banned or something for this, but here's a referral link so I can get a £5 http://www.sportpursuit.com/join/dglshrn
I know LFGSS hates sportpursuit, but no one can argue with that sort of deal!

Aye, I know. I struggle to see why though. We're all adults with active bullshit filters; surely we can work out for ourselves whether something is legit or not.

They had a similar deal earlier in the year which I went for. Nothing to complain about with sprtprst, have used them a few times happily. Just be a clever consumer, and be aware of what's a deal and what isn't.

Use them loads.
Sometimes stuff isn't posted till the sale ends.
I had some stuff go missing and received an instant refund.
The 'before price' can be a bit inflated.I'd recommend the Norwegian merino brands like Devold, and Ulvang. Comes up occasionally. It's high quality stuff.
Used to get my beetroot shots from there. Wish they'd get them back in.

Lots of the stuff is from Googleable brands, but I've had two pairs of gloves for £20 less than any other stockists. Never had an issue with postage or anything. I think the whole referral thing puts people off, I was dubious at first.

Nice/trendy new defeet socks
https://defeet.com/pc_combined_results.asp?pc_id=58A7A4A9127C4CDEA17A1FB98720FF9DD
40% off with code CHASE, but shipping to the UK is £50! Hoping to send some to a US family member. £6 a pop is pretty good I reckon!
My sock game is WEAK at the moment.
The only STRONG socks I like would need shipping from Oz.
UK brands I'm missing?
