On Friday I completed my first ever 100 mile ride, fixed and brakeless from home to Brighton. We freestyled the first 60 miles with only a mental note of the towns we needed to ride through in order to join the downs link from Bramley just below Guildford. Various blog posts about the downs link had promised anything from mostly paved paradise to deadly MTB only track. It sure as hell was not mostly paved but the 30 or so flat miles of gravel and muddy puddles were alot of fun, I'm sure it would of been less fun if the weather had turned. Great fun though and would do it again for sure, probably not fixed on crabon wheels and 25c tyres though. I'll add some pictures to this post in a bit.
