• difficult to tell from the pics. might be worth getting seller to send some different views. if it's as gnarly as it looks the top tube probs needs replacing.

    if you do go through with sale, for peace of mind drop it into a frame builder and get them to check it out. Saffron has done that a couple times for me, check the alignment etc

  • Even if the frame is BER (I wouldn't ride that TT and the chainstay looks bad) the components are worth what you paid, especially if you only pay the actual cost of postage (£40 my arse).

    The cranks, callipers (need correct brakes pads & holders) and presumably FD are 1st generation Chorus; the shifters and RD 3rd gen.

    Like as not the hubs are Campag too, so you've easily covered yourself ("9 speed screw-on freewheel"? I don't think so).
