A friend of mine is considering buying some clamp on brakes, but he has bladed forks (Planet X track forks) and I doubt the clamp would fit properly, wondering if anyone has any previous experience attempting to fit a clamp brake onto carbon bladed forks and if it's possible

The diacompe comes with three different clamp shapes, round, oval and aero IIRC

I've bother getting the oval shape over the forks...round deffo not right, aero seems to long. Wasnt that hard getting round ones over round forks...
Any tips? Hammer the fork bits in shape?

Have you got the metal oval clamps or the black alloy ones?
The reach of the metal ones, although oval, are not much more longer than the round ones.
I couldn't fit the metal ones so contacted Dia Compe to get the alloy ones as I could not find them anywhere in stock.
They gave me a part number and managed to get them from Billy's.
I've got the number somewhere if you are interested. -

I have the chromed steel ones...they're simply too short :/

The oval looks different. I got mine via sjs they only stock steel ones, which are no good alas. (Can't fault sjs for little parts though I think they don't know)
