Rad - what's the plan?

• #104255
Rigid straight fork, mechanical discs/centre pull (can't decide yet). Racks, big ol' wide tyres. Curb hopper hack bike.
Probably going to strip to raw and clear coat w/ new decals.

I haven't seen them before, but if you decide against keeping them after the ride, I would have a great home for them on mrs TM's old woodup, she struggles with the 42/52 and I've been trying to find an easy/cost effective way to lower the gear.
Or alternatively, anyone know where I could get a similar ISO chainset that wouldn't look out of place on a mainly correct classic campag build?

The paint is awesome IMO. Find some original forks , and run v brakes, unless you're planning on modding the frame with rear disc caliper mounts?
This was the model above or below my GT when I bought it (19 years ago) I got the aluminium Arrowhead I think the Timberline was one above and I couldn't understand why anyone would want steel (this was when alu was on trend, nobody rode steel)
Still got the arrowhead, hopefully one day get around to giving it that hack build (have all the parts for it , just no need for a bike of that description)

I was more worried about the rust tbh, I do like the colour!
The only reason for discs was I struggled to find a straight rigid fork with canti mounts for a decent price. I'll trawl gumtree/ebay for genuine forks...

Fair enough, I found a couple of GT steel forks the other day on eBay by searching for that exactly.
Rust wise, could always sand/treat the rust then clear coat/clear nail varnish the affected areas, giving it supreme ratteh finish...
A few Gt forks from international sellers
Or this which should be perfect?
Assuming it's 1 1/8
Or these

Does any one know the maximum crank length for a bike with BB height of 270mm for it to be able to be ridden on the Lee Valley Velodrome?
Or the distance between the track and the crank arm at its 6 o'clock position in the same circumstances?

The latest member of the family was purchased in order to act as a recovery bike after I dislocated my subtalar joint in July (Not for the squemish). So far it's been perfect. I've commuted to work on it for the last 3 weeks, and have subsequently rediscovered the countryside from blasting around the lanes and woods at the weekend.
I still need to address the steerer tube situation.

I won't sell them, sorry. Maybe you can find a Campagnolo Victory chainset, or even better, Specialites TA then you can get the widest range possible
