  • Looking good. I feel a derivative of a YPVS lies somewhere in my future....so much cool development of that engine in the Banshee world.

    Hill climbs scare the pants out of me - they're so short in the UK, by the time you're at the top your tyres might just about be warm enough to push on a bit. Ballsy - chapeau!

  • Cheers! I did run a mildly tuned powervalve motor for a while but it was never as good as the earlier LC motor after some tinkering. The hillclimbing was definitely a steep learning curve. Arriving at the first corner with a warm rear tyre and a stone cold front tyre took some getting used to...

  • LC motors were always more fun just because of the power band. Mind you as long as you keep things wound up, there's not a lot of difference really.

    Cold race Tyres can feel so horrible - the only ones I ever felt confident on were KR364 dunlops. I ran soft compound AM 20 roadrunners on my YPVS and they were comically squirmy when cold. Didn't crash much on them in fairness though.
