  • i have 2 watches in the post coming to me right now - not sure which i'm more excited about...

the uniform wares is a warranty replacement as my old full brown/rose gold one had a movement fault but the NTN i have been after for years since i had one of the prototypes for a photoshoot and lusted after it every since. Happens that TNT tracking tells me they both arrive tomorrow, i won't know which to wear!

  • ^^ Y U no pics?

  • I just held this

  • I just held this Rare beauty.

  • Nice.

  • for a steal too. i'll ask if i can take a better picture tomorrow.

    its not mine.

  • I'll take it, the house can wait...

  • Your finds absolutely kill me...

  • Cheers for the Nato suggestions. I initially went to Timefactors as I've had a few watches from there (the Timezone one) but it is one of the few online shops I've seen with opening hours. Ended up with a watch obsession one for the moment but I need a few more so will probably end up with a variety to compare.

  • ^^^^ fiddy dorra

  • Phoenix Natos are advertised on Amazon by a seller called "MONKEY SWAG". They look genuine, not sure if they actually are.

I'm very happy with the NATO and ZULU straps I bought from Watch Gecko, @Tenderloin has one on one of his watches too.

  • Oddly enough having the GMT made me appreciate the Vintage more.

  • I H A T E the bezel on the GMT, yer classic Sub-type bezel is streets ahead aesthetically... #imho #obvs

  • 1655 homage, innit:

    I like it.

  • I've got a zuludiver branded NATO from watch gecko which had been fine and is pretty comfortable. I had a 5 ring zulu from there as well which was awful though. If you threaded the strap the correct way it but a pressure point on part of my wrist which got sore/irritating after a while. I think this was because the strap was so thick, i had trouble getting through the lug/springbar.

  • The right watch is perfect. Also the right strap to go with it.

  • The Steinhart MilSub homage is nice, but my favourite is the MKII Fulcrum:

    Pricey, tho.

  • thats clean. i like that one

  • MKII used to be one of the first to make custom parts for quite a few watches, I have dials and hands on both of mine.
Sadly, they don't anymore, now just some nicely put together custom watches.

  • A couple of cheap Russian ones I picked up from ebay. They run (once I twigged how to wind them) but we will see how accurate they are:

  • New watch day; got a big birthday coming up this week so wanted to treat myself to a nice watch. Wasn’t going in to look at this watch as I thought they looked rubbish in all the shop photos but thought I’d may as well try it seeing as I was there – changed my mind instantly when I had it in my hand, the fit & finish is incredible, there are lots of little details that you can’t really see on the photos but in real life they make it look real quality whilst not standing out too much. And for me the size & proportions feel just right.

Omega Seamaster Pro (black w/ ceramic bezel):

  • I like the hands on that, bezel looks grey in the pic

  • anyone had a bracelet cleaned?

  • Yes it depends on the light; sometimes it looks black with white writing others it looks dark grey with lighter grey writing - quite difficult to capture on a phone camera though.

  • I have always thought that Seamaster's look shit in photos but fantastic in real life. I'm a big fan. Nice buy.
