Can I remind you about this event, which was set up with lfgss in mind. Any machine can be used, but any awards will go only to riders on fixed or single freewheel.
It consists of three laps of an undulating circuit (The Gracious Pond Circuit), and although it is nominally a club event, private time trial entries are invited (a PTT is a TT ridden in a club event by someone who is not a member of the promoting club, so you are all welcome). The circuit is on quiet (well, by Surrey standards) roads between Chertsey and Chobham - the start is the same as the Valley End 10 course, near the back gate of St Peter's Hospital.
Although it will be possible to enter on the line it would be helpful if you could let me know if you intend to come as the event will benefit if we can give some thought to laying out the field. If you let me know your recent times by Saturday 10th October (10, 25 and/or 50) you will be given a handicap allowance and be able to compete in that section.
This is intended as a fun event. It has been run since 2010, but was cancelled last year because of road work traffic lights on the course. I have just checked the 'roadworks.org' site and it looks as though we should have better luck this year.
You may enter on the line, but obviously this would exclude you from the handicap section.
Any queries - ask here.
Entries - just send me a pm.
