Replacing a worn Schwalbe Ultremo HT that was stuck on using tub tape. there's a little tub tape residue on the rim. tried wiping diluted acetone (nail varnish remover) over it but it is still sticky. Tried peeling it off, but it took me 10 minutes to remove the residue between 2 spoke holes.
Can glue/cement be applied on this residue? Or should every trace of this residue be removed?
The actual tape has come off with the tyre, so it's literally just the residue that's on there...
