It's odd why he'd do it. It's odd I didn't hear about it before. It's odd that he had useful information that was used as leverage. All weird.
Is it odd? Tonnes of people cheat, at all kinds of things.
As for not hearing about it, I guess if there was an ongoing investigation based on his info they'd want to keep his bust quiet.
If he's doping then he found products somewhere to use so can maybe name suppliers?
He should write a book.
