That won't work...Google quickly suggested a UK site for £26.99 with free delivery on orders over £30
I don't have internet store loyalty though, unless they do something pretty special. -

How the f did I only just notice the shop's gone!?
You being one of their stereotypical customers, in your skinny jeans and wispy beard.
-
• #1679
why has Kinoko cycles/Tokyo fixed gear gone all hipster clothing with hardly any bikes or parts!?
-
• #1680
I paid £5 delivery for a sprocket which DPD won't deliver, and now I might have to go to Croydon from Tottenham to get it, when £2 or less from Royal Mail would have put it through my door in a couple of days.
I've learned my lesson.

Well, good luck to Max with the internet thing. It has to be said the shops were always very focussed on clothes and excessories (sic), it's just we were spoiled cos they also led the way in the West End with really good parts and decent mechanics. Maybe the website is just pushing that clothing angle on the homepage because clothing stock (I'm guessing here) seems to get devalued/superceded seasonally according to fashion, whereas one might guess high-end stock like Sugino & Phils & Nitto doesn't really lose it's value or relevance.

Except Skulls seems to have picked up tge Kinoko stock, it has just occurred to me... Anyway I love the Nitto engineers' caps! Need another one as mine's well grotty ...

anyone got any promo codes for Kinoko?

Tokyo Fixed Dream Machine.
What is the preferred method for fitting bottle cages? Are people going for having bosses brazed in, using rivnuts successfully or sticking with band/clamp on cage mounts?
Or just building up a demented thirst for the pub?

I bought a few of these BackBottles for myself and as a pre-emptive Xmas present.

I think I've got at least one more than I need so if you want one drop me a pm.

Elite adapter at decathlon

• #1691
Had these and they work well. Can also be picked up in Halfords (dont ask why I know this)
-

hugo7, thank you for the offer it's very kind of you but I prefer my bottles bike mounted.
It looks like the Elite adapter is going to be the winner. It's certainly cheap enough to try first. Cheers!

Anyway, it's nearly finished so in the absence of a dedicated readers wives thread, I'll plop it here.
I'll probably add racks and better mudguards (SKS Longboards) but hopefully this will see me through this winter (and a few more to come.) Bottle cage still to add also. Apologies for the shonky picture:

• #1694
nice that - I don't think the white bartape will see you through the winter though.
-
• #1695
Cheers! The bar-tape is wipe clean and it could do with a bit of scuffing to match the saddle! (Also, it was 2-4-1 so I got some back-up tape on black.)
I'm still quite dumbfounded by the decision to have no bottle cage bosses on such an otherwise useful frame though.

I wanted to order some bike bits from Kinoko, alas I can't. Ah well

Zefal Gizmo will sort out your problem for £4

That "The Hill-Side" vid they just linked to on FB is so, so bad. Golf? GQ??? "Buy to rebel"? Yeah right... This obsession with everything Japanese is so stale and sad as well, as perfectly illustrated by the guys in the video. It's just a joke. From the "Hell yeah" at hitting a golf ball into a net, to the dying fart of an attempt at a Pixies sing-a-long at the end, this is just terrible. Bring back bikes FFS.

I watched the offending linked video. Not sure why you are so grrrr, it's just a bit average really.

Sorry, just hating on fashion in general. Was a great shop though. Shame they've resorted to this.
now, with everything you buy from them, you'll have to pay for delivery which could be avoided by cycling to the shop. just bought mks chain tensioners, 5£ delivery standard.
