Cheers :)
I guess the bigger sensor means you're getting less depth of field at f2.8 on the new GR than the older ones so maybe f1.9 wasn't needed for getting the same subject isolation. Obviously you're losing a stop of aperture but the bigger sensor also means noise levels are lower so higher isos are probably cleaner and more useable? -

Thanks, I have the GR too.
I feel like I took better pics with the GXR w/50, maybe I just get on better with that lens size. -

..fuck yeah!

..makes sense, though of course it would be nice to have both larger sensor and f 1.9

This is a very lengthy thread so apologies if it's already in here somewhere but what is the best place to store digi photos. Preferably free.
Just lost a load of my sons photos from his iPad when photo stream and the backups went tilt on upgrade. I'm after an online storage solution other than iCloud. I've set a 500gb drive to back up his computer hdd but I want to put his photos offsite and preferably secure.
At this stage I'm open to ideas.

"Online storage solution" and "secure" don't mix that well.

Hey Will, these cow pictures are great!
Nice poses, and such nice monochrome tones..
..do you mind sharing (again) what you shoot with and perhaps what you do in post? -
• #10670
Probably dropbox depending on how much space you need. It's best to augment online storage with a physical one, like you're already doing though.

This media bias against Corbyn is getting ridiculous ;-)

Is Flickr any good?

That's a very contentious question here.
I'd say yes but lots of people don't like how it oversharpens images (it doesn't mess with the originals, just smaller sizes).
1tb of free storage is nice and you could upload all 600+ images in one go.
First one was f/2.8 20 s iso 6400, second one f/4 15 s iso 6400.
