I was thinking not more than about £30, but I don't know how realistic that is though. I know Hatton Garden is the best place to buy jewellery but I think it will be firmly out of my budget!
I'm not bothered about the material really, doesn't need to be gold or silver or anything. It's just for hanging my St Bernadine medal on (patron saint of people who work in PR and asthma sufferers, unfortunately I am afflicted with both) as my current one is too long.

Do you need to buy it now, or could you wait a couple of days for the lovely people at Cookson Gold to post it to you? They have pretty much everything, e.g. http://www.cooksongold.com/Base-Metal/Stainless-Steel-1.6mm-Curb-Chain--1845cm-prcode-V3C-16H

Asthmatic you say?
How expensive? I have no idea by the way. I don't do jewellery as a rule but everyone told us to go to Hatton Garden in Farringdon for our wedding rings. Tonnes of jewellers.
