  • Move to Cheshire, 9.5 miles in sunshine!

  • So, has there been a little bit of rain in London?

  • A sprinkling, but not enough for me to move back to Cheshire :)

  • Overheard someone say "Wet, wet" at some traffic lights, cue 'Love is all around' swirling around my head for the remaining soggy 40 minutes.

  • oooo after 4 years with a coaster brake, back to steel rims and caliper brakes in heavy rain - that was memorable!

  • was fucking wet, even gore'd up, got the bollock ache at the peak of the downpour and got rattler home with bike from waterloo
    in other news
curiously have a numb right big toe tip, been about a week now

  • Two mile into ride home that noise I ignored turned out to be my rear hub, bent to fuck.

Time for grown up intervention, anyone got a true fixed rear I can have for cheaps?

Oh yeah two mile walk back to work in the rain.

  • You lot need to invest in a raincape. Hackney to Central and back, for an important meeting, dry/10. I love mine, worth every penny.

  • You lot need to invest in a raincape.

    Mother. Fucking. A.

And flaps, big fucking flap to keep that water away from your shiny shoes.

  • could not commit to cape unless was with full superhero shit, sorry

  • keep your dirty thoughts to yerself re a "fucking flap"

  • I had a very pleasant cycle in this morning with @stevo_com. All until elephant and castle. HWAT teh ACSKHUAL FUCK?

Then I realised I've left my desk pedestal and bike lock keys at home.
So i'm sat in bike gear unless there's a spare somewhere.

  • Yeah, you Castled better than I did so lost you at the end. Was good to chat, took my mind off epic jet lag. I'm just wondering what I have forgotten, waiting until I open my bag. Probably trousers.

  • left spare inner at work... 'sod' I thought, 'only 10km, I'll be alright...'

Puncture at the 5km mark. Great times.

  • Spot on bum. Ouch.

  • Capes and mudflaps all the way. My cape was brought back for me from China by my aunt, and says "WANG" in big letters on the back... my rear mudflap is made out of an old Robinson's Barley Water bottle.

So last night I had a very wet wang and extremely grotty squash flaps.

    Dry clothes though!

  • +1 cape/poncho

  • I was tutted at by John Prescott this morning as he boarded the number 3 bus from the middle door and didn't tap in

  • Wait a sec, HE tutted YOU? As HE entered and didn't tap?

  • I forgot nothing although I haven't quite efficiently mastered getting changed, parking bike, hanging clothes etc. Did three full laps of the office before I was sorted.

  • Had to ride the heavy ass beater with a wooden box on the front. 2 minutes slower over 8 miles than a Pompino, plus I got to wear trousers and a dashing fleece.

The last mile and a half was on about 10psi in the rear as well.

    FBNPNA

  • A spare pedestal key was cut for me.
I am now in work clothes.
Might pop and check on the bike now.

    Bus wanker

  • i may well take to a cape, and simply wear some bright budgie smugglers over my leggings, un homage marvel comics

  • Yup. THE AUDACITY
