I have just realised the best thing about Corbyn being elected: the tide of party leader and London Mayor candidates will finally stop!
Thank God for that. The Labour Party really needs to learn to use email. I just had to send this to my local organiser:
Dear X,
I am slightly confused about why I am receiving these emails. I presume it's because I'm a member of the local Labour Party, but while I'm happy to receive Labour Party related communications, I seem to be receiving rather a lot of tangential emails in the 'FYI' style: a format which frankly I find lazy and unengaging. I find it acceptable from colleagues in the workplace - just about - but it's not a format I wish to regularly see in my personal inbox.
Could I please ask that you review what you send on in this format? As I said, I am very happy to receive party communications, but if I wanted to receive emails from REDACTED I would have chosen to sign up to their mailing list, even if it is forwarded on with the best possible intentions.
