  • ^ What he said. A lot of XC races are run on a league basis according to county, or the Metropolitan league. Depending on where the club's based, even if they're London based they might compete in a county league, e.g. I run with Kent AC (actually SE London) and we're in the Surrey League. Then there are championship races for county, regional and national, but these are also entered through a club. The "National" is up north this year, but the Southern champs are at Parliament Hill, 9 miles of mud I'm already looking forward to in January...

    It would be worth having a look at some clubs in your area and see what leagues they compete in. Even if they're in a high division everyone will get a run out if they want one.
