Ah. Bugger.
There's a chap in the U.S. who is churning them out. About £24 delivered to the UK but customs and a wait I guess.
Triton reckon they'll have more in around end sept.
If you can avoid it don't be tempted to bodge it.

Hi All,
I'm definitely not a Cannondale Aficionado but I was wondering if you could help me value my bike that I'm thinking of selling.
It's a CAD2 with 10 speed veloce (chorus rear) Profile Designs Carbon Fork, H+Son SL42 Rims on 105 hubs, Carbon ITM Bars.
Heres some pictures
I'm sure it's value is less than the sum of it's parts but some pointers would be appreciated.
Cheers!

I can still ride with this dent in my top tube? I don't want to say I've written my CAAD off after 3 months

That look pretty minor.

Keep an eye on it, but I reckon you'll be fine. I had a ding in the top tube of a CAAD7 and the tube started to crack on the edges of the dent, but it was a lot deeper than that.

Re-Joined the Cannondale club. Bought myself a CAAD 10 after lusting after one for ages.
It's the Liquigas colourway which isn't my favourite but beggars can't be choosers. It's growing on me anyway.
Planned changes are first of all reduce that stack and chop steerer. Hopefully upgrade wheelset, if I find a good deal maybe carbon? also maybe upgrade shifters and derailleurs in time.
Eventually would like to get it under 8kg which I think is doable.

Paul's Cycles have some heavily discounted SSE and SSE HM's, including the Ultegra 2015 for £1299, which considering the 2016 version costs £1899 and the only difference is the Spidering, seems like a great deal. The Force Racing edition is £1349 other places. Want to try Ultegra anyway.

Hi again. I'm selling my CAAD2.
https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/274578/
Got my New CAAD10 Disc But need to build some new wheels for it. Going for Shimano CX75 Hubs with Pacenti SL25 rims. Any advice/Other recommendations?
Cheers!

Just weighed my Supersix, its around 8.2kg with 6700 Ultegra and Kysriums.
I am disappoint. Thought it'd be lighter as its only a 52cm frame.
Must cut down footlong Thomson post :(
-
• #2736
it's the Kysriums what are doing that, boss. I'd never intentionally purchase Mavic road wheels again...
FWIW, my SSE is 6.9 with SRAM Red22, Superstar Pacenti wheels and a mish-mash of other bits.

Just get a decent sub 1500g wheel and you're sorted.

• #2738
My caad 10 is 6.84kg and thats without super weight weenie parts. It's getting rebuilt with red at the moment and I'm hoping it will be 6.4 something.

Got this today. Sized down to 58cm after the 60cm CAAD10.
Installed Antares 00, FSA K-force post, 3T Arx stem, DA 9000 pedals, King Ti cages.
Now, wheel choices... Selling these. Needs Spidering or Praxis and lighter bars too.

Burn the pie plate while youre at it. Light alu or deep carbon? I would get some zipps and keep the current wheels for winter and shit weather

Also realised I never posted mine in here:

Most likely Hed Belgiums on Dura Ace hubs, or Zondas as a cheaper option. Wheels are the only thing that really need upgrading, although could save about 150g on bars and chainrings.

I'm thinking about buying either a caad 8 or 10 as a birthday present to myself. I know the caad10 is a lot better but you can get full caad8 builds on the bay for what you could buy a caad10 frameset for! I just want to know your opinions, is the caad8 a bad frame set??
-
• #2744
It's not a 'bad' frame - it's just a cheap one with very little in common with its original and far more racy namesake.
-
• #2745
I'm getting a bit of vibration/resonance coming through the pedals on my synapse hi-mod ultegra at certain points in the pedal stroke when soft pedalling. Anyone else experienced that?
-
• #2746
You can get second-hand CAAD10's in good condition for what the frameset costs new (£550). Check seller Feedback and collect in person if possible or ask them to post if their Feedback is excellent and they seem sound.
-
• #2747
So it's worth going for the caad10 it seems?
-
• #2748
Define 'worth'.
If you want a c10 get a c10.
If you don't consider other cheap alu frames.
-
• #2749
I'm sure I read the caad8 and 10 rear triangle are the same.
The 10 has a lower front and nicer tapered fork.

The 10 has a lower front and nicer tapered fork.
15mm lower methinks. Tapered fork is nice and light, ya. But you know...just ride em, see if you notice.
My namesake reference was to the original top of the line CAAD8 from way back, BTW, of which the current CAAD8 shares very little, other than being made out of alu. It's a completely different design.
You can use a normal square taper BB tool and a piece of dowel if you're really stuck
