  • I have a medium in the Harrington jacket which is a similar cut but without the waist shaping. I'm a 12-14 and it fits great. Bit too warm for it at the moment.

  • @Katie-Coo i was going to say i have some nikwax tech wash (and the other one wot i can't remember wot it's called) if you wanted to reproof it but it sounds like it might never have been that waterproof to start with... offer's still there if you want!

  • I got one of these too, bought in their last sample sale. Still holding up in the rain and the only waterproof I've had that doesn't get sweaty. I've got a medium and am size 12/14 with broad shoulders and fits perfect :)

  • Whoops, just bought another vulpine original rain jacket in a colour I prefer. If anyone wants my military green one medium, in very good condition, message me, £20.

  • I remember a while ago mentioning the howies running leggings for cycling in - think @pootsmanuva was interested?
On sale for a few days:

  • Ta for Vulpine sample sale heads up! Just grabbed a softshell for the other half's birthday, shhhh, secret!

  • Nice one! I too am a 12-14 up top and very broad shouldered. Fingers crossed!

  • Oh thanks- v kind offer but the brown stuff on the inside has started to disintegrate and it looks so gross round the inside of the hood- gonna chuck it away. Am going to waterproof walking boots soon though- got any recommendations of anything that works??!

  • leather ones? I really rate Meindl proofer, been using it for years
http://www.openair.co.uk/footwear-c6/footwear-care-c127/meindl-conditioner-and-proofer-p121 but not sure where sells it (I get it from Open Air in cambridge)

  • Fuuuuuuuuuuu!!! Just called Vulpine to check on an order I placed for a softshell for the other half's birthday. Ordered last Thursday in the sample sale.

"Stock issues" mean there is no jacket to send me. Wonder when they would have let me know if I hadn't called them?! They're refunding me now but still. For shame Vulpine!

  • If you check the vulpine thread there's been quite a lot of that...
The sample sale didn't seem to run quite as smoothly as it should!

  • I've emailed them to let them know what I think of their customer 'service', I'll let you know what they say!

Still no email from them to update the status of my order and no refund, quite annoyed really.

  • @Cazakstan are you serious? That sounds incredibly frustrating! Hope it sorts itself out and wish your partner a lovely birthday from our side!

  • Thanks!

Yeah they finally emailed me today to say sorry and say they'll pass my comments to senior management.

They need to sort their shit out haha!

  • Such a shame. Got my jacket with no hoopla and feels and looks ace. Nice fit, nice features like a detachable bum flap, tasteful reflective bits, colour better than in the flesh and MAGNETS!!

Proof of the pudding will be in the eating (wearing in the rain) but so far, so good!

  • Bought a couple of the shortsleeve merino henleys in the recent sale - Medium in mulberry (lovely lovely colour, slightly too small for me) and Large in black (right size, wrong colour...) - any interest before I send them back? £30 each.

Note the black does have white embroidery on the back which you can see in the photo here http://www.vulpine.cc/uk/women-s-short-sleeve-merino-henley-in-black which I didn't like but I imagine you could colour it in with a document pen fairly effectively...

  • I'll take the medium one. I have two already, which I wear all the time, ace bits of casual kit.

  • Cool. You work central, right? I could drop it to you one lunchtime soon. It is nice - wish I'd got the colours the other way around!

  • Yes, I'll PM you the details.

  • Bought myself the Levi's commuter jeans in black cause I hate kits and shit like that and the skinny jeans I had were far too tight and high waisted. The Levi's one was the SMALLEST size they had and I'm so sad they don't fit me snug. It's size 25 waist but still quite big for my waist and obviously the length needs to be altered. I think it'll be ok because I'll wear uniqlo thermal leggings + padded shorts underneath these jeans so it'll fill me out in a way. All in all, unflattering look that makes my bum (thanks cycling!) look extremely flat like a pancake gone bad. So anyone interested in these jeans I'd suggest you try em on before buying!

  • Anyone come across anything similar to the winter cafe tights ana nichoola did? Super warm & soft fleecy lined tights, no chamois?

  • Corinne Dennis Winter Robaix tights - you can choose whether to have the pad or not. Pay extra if you want it. Pretty warm on this morning, but not as warm as Gore Bikewear ladies unpadded ones with the Windstopper stuff that does what it says on the tin.

  • Hi all, I have a helly hansen top that I've had for years and is on its last legs- I'm dying to replace it with something similar as it's perfect for commuting- it has thumb holes and longer cuffs but is a top not a jacket.
    Any ideas??

  • anyone receive anything exciting for xmas they would recommend?

  • A new Rapha softshell, it's much nicer than my 4-5 year old one!
