I think the main problem with the Alfine is going to be finding one...
Rosebikes have all the sizes and colours for under £50

Looks kinda ugly but granted I've not seen a photo of one installed. It's only gonna be a commuter/pub bike anyway so not a material consideration. I think the main problem with the Alfine is going to be finding one...
