Any reason not go for Light Bicycle carbon clinchers? They are a bit more expensive than the usual random ebayer but seems to me like they would be a step up in quality too. Looking at their u shape 35mm. I´d probably have them built up on home turf.

Here's my Orient express from Hong fu. Fm296 with sram rival. Quite a nice ride. Not as stiff as it looks but very comfy. Would buy again

Any class gorilla cage copies that might work. They're for behind saddle mounting so want a firm grip.
Should buy originals. X lab is a descent outfit. But my budget is blown.
