Freewheels, in partiular 8 speed ones. Does anyone have a good source?
I've found Sunrace and Ventura on SJS, but the only other one I've found is a Zenith sold by @thecycleclinic (I think) on eBay. Any recommended makers/ones to avoid?(Freehubs and cassettes will happen eventually, but for the moment, it's got to be a freewheel.)

4 day holiday in December, with a travel budget of about £50 pp and £50 per night for two for accomodation. Where to go? Paris, Milan and Berlin are all options but all seem slightly dull in their own way. I'd sort of fancy a nice log cabin in the snow but I have no idea where that'd be, and as neither my gf or I drive I'm not sure it's a possibility. Touring would be nice, but I imagine anywhere we go would be rainy/cold

I'm planning on a couple nights in the Black Forest in December.
London > Strasbourg, stop in Strasbourg on the way for Xmas market, Strasbourg > Wherever you want to go (Baden-Baden is charming in its own way, and you can get a taxi/bus/maybe train out to a small hotel/cabin).

nice idea. certainly seems more interesting than wandering around some random city for 4 days

I've done it before on the train a few times (last time was to meet family a few months ago). Never in the winter though. However, stayed at the top of a valley with an amazing view. Can only imagine how nice it'd be during the winter. There's also lovely walks/hiking around there, so assuming it's not completely snowed over, I think that'd be great as well.
You can often do it cheaper/quicker by flying to Baden-Baden/Karlsruhe with Easyjey/Ryan Air, but I've not flown.

I need to chill a lot of champagne.
The only viable option for doing this is using a freezer.
What is the longest I can put it in the freezer for without fucking it up?
Cheers

If you need to know the time just ask here.

I'm confused.
I just wanted to know how long champers could stay in the freezer because I'm having a get together and my fridge is full of fois gras and caviar. While the caviar tins stack neatly the blinies and the fois gras packets are really annoying sizes so there is no room left!
I'm almost at my wits end .

Isn't this what the help is for?

Apparently, never recommended according to my in-house french chef! We use an external insulated box packed with ice when we have these kind of days.
We do have a drinks fridge though.

Fucking living wage. It's completely screwed me.

Don't have many spare cool boxes unfortunately and I'll need to put soft drinks in some of those.
Just thought popping the bottles in a freezer for an hour or two would be an easy option as there's plenty of space in there / space can easily be freed up.

Fill the bath with cold water and a couple of bags of ice cubes?

• #70822
Drink ale instead.

have put bubbly wine in freezer before, the key is to remember it's in there when the party is in full swing! no more than an hour. bathtub /sink and ice a better more fail safe method
-
• #70824
Bathtub full of ice the way to go.
If you must put them in the freezer put one bottle in 30mins/1hr before the rest goes in, so that when you forget about them only one explodes and you have some warning to get the rest out.
Just make sure you don't drink the sacrificial bottle... -

Unless the bathtub is where the party is meant to happen
