-

charg-y .. they are 'premium' .. think Tesco Finest.
I've never had to claim but the customer support so far has been really good compared to others I've used.
Contents only mind. -

thanks again. i'm just casting about at the moment. as stated in a previous post, we and the other FH'er have individual insurance but am becoming increasingly convinced we need a joint policy. the worry is is that should something go titsy, we'll end up with one insurance provider trying to get the other to cover any costs and vice versa until the end of time.

That just became a bit 'adult' for me

hehe. i fucking hate this shit. not helped by the fact that the downstairs neighbour is about as useful as a cock flavoured lollipop, i suspect he is also a satanist.

I deal with Steven Pentecost at Maunder Taylor for a similar type of thing (house split into two flats with a joint insurance policy). Seems decent but I've not had to make a claim so can't say for sure

How the fuck is yours so cheap?? Mines 10 times that! You can't tell me that you don't have possessions, cause you're a mamil on a middle class bike forum....
Or is this only contents rather than Combined contents and building?
I have no idea what the value of my shit is... -

Your insurance is £6000 a year? Usurebro?

Ah! That's once off. I hate monthly... That's what you get for reading the forum at 4am.

Is there an idiots guide to buying a house? I find myself thrust into adulthood and I'm looking for an independent advisor but would like to appear slightly less clueless than I really am.

Moneysavingexpert has a decent guide. Apart from that this thread is useful if you have any questions.

I'll have a read. I'm currently in love with this 'shed.'
It's just outside the area I want to live in, but it would mean I could have a proper bike workshop, home brewing area, maybe a smoker and maybe even a milling machine!

• #10743
And you could even use it as a sauna!
-
• #10744
It's the Craig David poster that really sets it apart, no?
-
• #10745
I'd negotiate for its inclusion although it may bump up the price.

^ Shed looks awesome.
4 months on, NatWest really are a sack of shite!

Is is the house/part of the house/nothing to do with somewhere to live?
-
• #10748
Just got most of my UK cash over into my Oz bank, time to talk to the banks and get serious... I have a feeling we won't get this house, too much too soon, but at least we'll be ready for the next one if it does go tits up... Super excited...

I'm having trouble parsing this information. My concern about the massive shed is that its swaying towards living in a slightly different part of town than I was originally considering.

The place we're looking at has a massive shed at the end of the garden already... Want this place quite badly...
can anyone recommend an insurance broker that isn't a cunt?
