  • The problem is the cars doing 90mph through the speed traps they put up round the park - which is why they (the Royal Parks chaps) want speed bumps.

    Cyclists riding wide and stopping at reds is not going to solve that, but then neither are speed bumps.

    Pave, on the other hand, might well do. Not great for cycling mind.

  • The Royal Parks proposed 14 'speed tables' with a cobbled top surface. So you may get a bit of that pave. Not dissimilar to the cobbled hump at the SE gate.
    How they possibly think cobbled speed bumps are a good idea when the park is poorly lit is anyone's guess.
