Does anyone know anything about the Shimano 105 hydraulic disc brakes? Was the press release an aprils fool? I thought they's be out around october, which means that they should be ready for pre-order by now or should have appeared appeared in a bike show around now, but I'm struggling to find any news on this.

I see a few reasonably priced OTP offerings with Ultegra 680o around.

But with most online shops lead time seems to be an issue. Who here knows the current Shimano politics? I am getting an inkling that online shops have priced up their OTPs in anticipation of a price drop on the Ultegra, but that Shimano are keeping them waiting.
If so, then ordering one (I'm keen on the Canyon) could become one of those experiences where the supplier takes your money and then just keeps postponing the delivery.

I'm trying to copy stack and reach over from an existing frame to a hypothetical frame. I think I'm making this out to be far more complicated than it is.

Existing frame has a 170mm headtube with an integrated headset with a stack of 16.7mm.

Hypothetical frame has an undecided headtube length with a standard external headset with a stack of 36.6mm.

Is it simply a case of adding headset stack to headtube length (from my existing frame), then subtract my headset stack (from hypothetical frame) from this to give hypothetical headtube length?

i.e.

170+16.7 = 186.7
186.7-36.6 = 150.1mm

Differences in upper and lower stack between headsets shouldn't make any difference? and there should be no effect on overall reach here?

Park one always works well for me. Eating the cups isn't a massive problem though if they still comes off and you are chucking them away.

I have a very small (+/- 3mm) lateral (left to right rather than forwards and back) movement of my rear wheel. Assembly is all tight, the movement is in the axle I think.

Any ideas for remedy or do I just need to take it down the shop?

Bearings, either replace if sealed or adjust the cones if loose ball.
