I deal with Steven Pentecost at Maunder Taylor for a similar type of thing (house split into two flats with a joint insurance policy). Seems decent but I've not had to make a claim so can't say for sure

thanks again. i'm just casting about at the moment. as stated in a previous post, we and the other FH'er have individual insurance but am becoming increasingly convinced we need a joint policy. the worry is is that should something go titsy, we'll end up with one insurance provider trying to get the other to cover any costs and vice versa until the end of time.
