Everything Apple (the Mac heads thread)

I hackintoshed a Dell Mini 10v. It took a lot of buggering about but it was quite a nice and useful little thing when it worked, but

1. I reached a point where I could not upgrade the OS.
   
2. It was never perfect - sleep and wake were a problem. The odd screen res was too. Sound was flaky. Sometimes it would just kernel panic. The trackpad was shite.
   
3. One day it just made a nasty screechy noise and died.
   
   

It is just easier to buy a Mac. And things like the retina screens, excellent keyboards and trackpads and general toughness of the things make it worth the extra.
